Vintage Fair’s last gasp (sort of).

So Maci Restless over at Little Miss Fashion Cupcake put out a blogger challenge the other day for B&W. Lucky me, I had been saving something just in that color range for my last hurrah covering the wonderful 2012 Vintage Fair put on by Chic Management.  The B&W challenge was just the thing I needed to get the picture done and posted.  If you haven’t been to the Vintage Fair, you have until the 29th to catch it.  You may just find something new (or old) to set you on fire.

Epoque and Schadenfreude with their wonderful clean lines and brilliant crispness fit my style and personality to a ‘T’. It’s no secret that I’ve been a fan of these two shops for a few years now. Each section of the dress is changeable via a hud, simple to use, and fun to make all sorts of different combinations.  The collar from Epoque is a great statement piece that is going to be one of my wardrobe staples.  The Tyrolia bracelet from Fanatik is something I find myself reaching for again and again.  I just love it. It may be one of my most worn pieces of jewelry to date!

More Vintage Fair Hotness!

If you haven’t been to the Vintage Fair yet, now is a great time to go, low lag, crowds have thinned down a bit and 3 sims full of vintage hotness.  Yes, 3 sims jam packed full.  And I have to say, the layout this year is one of the best event builds ever.  Easy to navigate, *beautiful* build by Cory Edo of Trompe Loeil, and not a bad spot on any of the sims.  It lasts until the 29th and is totally worth spending a few hours strolling through, just to see everything.

Vintage Fair Preview

It’s that time again!  The Vintage Fair is just around the corner, and I have some great previews to show to you this week!  This forst one is from E! Eclectic Apparel.

The dress is called “Tanya” and is a great mesh dress that comes in a ton of colors!  I loved the pop of the cranberry color and knew this was the one for me (Even though I rarely wear red!. The hair is from a gatcha at Epoque and is a perfect compliment to the dress.

The Vintage Fair starts on the 4th of August and is being organized by the wonderful team at Chic Management!  It’s being sponsored by: Aura, Belleza, Cheeky Pea, coldLogic, Gizza Creations, Indyra Originals, PurpleMoon Creations, oOo Studio and Trompe Loeil.  This is one of my most favorite events of the year, and let me tell you… This year ROCKS!

The Chic Management team is also having huge flickr competition that you can enter – info at – http://www.chic-management.com/?p=1416

One Voice… (Part Three.)

So many great designers have come together for the One Voice event.  I’ve gone back to the event multiple times, and each time seen something new.  The event runs till the 22nd so you still have plenty of time to go and check it out.

This is a Fawn has this cute Team Curio t-shirt which comes in blue and purple (you get both, blue shown) which is great if you would like to show your support.  The skin is Winter by Curio, one of my all-time favorites.  And I couldn’t resist the new Truth hair Aurora, which is one of my new favorites!

AngelRed has this great stripped sweater, and GOS the oh so sexy Desire boots in Vamp.

One of my favorite outfits from the entire event has to be these adorable separates from [Aura].  The Bunneh hoodie has bunneh ears hanging off the hood in the back, and this great print on the front, the Class Act jeans have a chevron pattern on the side and are just beautifully detailed.

And lastly, I couldn’t resist this uber sweet dress from [AB].  The Dottie Dress has these great colors which just pop.  A fun little party dress.  And the hair is new from Epoque!  From the hair fair which is 4 sims of head topping goodness!

New at Mon Tissu!

I couldn’t wait to run over to {mon tissu} this morning and grab the newness.  Beautiful sundresses and great casuals perfect for your next day on the beach or evening with friends.  I’ve been so busy this week, without a lot of time to do pictures, but I had to blog this.  So the pictures are mostly unprocessed, just cropped and a filter or two applied.

The Seaside sundress with its sleek fitted bodice and pleated skirt has a bit of a retro feel that could be dressed up or down.  It comes in great refreshing colors and patterns and would be a perfect wardrobe staple.

The Slouchy Sweatshirt and Hanalei shorts are fantastic!  Great for on the dock, at the mall, or anywhere else.  Love the detailing on the sweatshirts!  And I HAD to have the anchor shorts.  Because…  I’m a little silly for nautical designs.  And have you seen these wedges from Celoe?  These are by far my favorite wedge sandals this season.

Valentina E. – Classically Beautiful.

Valentina E. Couture has just released a gorgeous new addition to the lovely Garbo dress.  Lighter colors and floral patterns make this dress a stunner.   The deep cleavage revealing keyhole design paired with the gentle fitted curves just scream wardrobe classic.  One of the things that I really appreciate about this brand is that all of the designs are original, they are not texturing templates, and that to me is a huge thing.

Glam Affair @ Collabor88

The new Collabor88 is out, and it’s a steamer!  So many great designs from all the participants, I think I bought nearly everything.  (Shopaholic much?)  One of my favorites this time is the gorgeous asymmetrical dress called Zoe from Glam Affair.  It comes in eye popping colors, the style and detailing are exquisite.

Glam Affair also has three incredible versions of the Mia skin at Colabor88 this time around.  I love Glam Affair skins and Mia is so beautiful.  Shown above is the make-up option Disco A.

Epoch does Escher!

The Epoch fair is wonderful!  Three sections each devoted to a different theme.  Beast, Clowning and Art of Escher.  This post highlights some of my favorite finds from the “Art of Escher.”  If you’re not familiar with the Art of M.C. Escher you can click that link and go directly to his official web page.

This dress from Willow is called “The Picard Dress” and the detailing on it is just lovely.  It was one of the first things I spotted in the Escher section.

The houndstooth “MCEHT” leggings from Maitreya are hot, hot, hot.  Maitreya also has a dress and several accessories (not shown) offered in this same pattern for the event.  The ring (Shown on my hand and in the insert) and the Jacket are both from the Beast section of the Epoch event.  The ring is from Pididdle who is also offing a brilliant mesh mask in the same design (not shown.)  The jacket is from Pivaaca, a shop completely new to me!  I’m totally going to be checking them out in the future!  The jacket is called “Dear my gentle beast” and is shown in Black Panther.

This dress from Epoque called Metamorphosis features a mesh panel skirt inset and comes in three colors (Black, Red and Flesh). I have loved this shop for a long time, and totally wish they would make more hair!  They do it all from glamorous clothing, accessories and hair.  I’ve never been disappointed with a purchase there, and I just love when I see a new release from them!

Not so Bad…. is pretty damn good!

Not so Bad has entered the realm of SL fashion.  Well known for their prefab houses, sky boxes, and furniture this new venture is every bit as detailed and as perfectly executed as you would expect from Not so Bad.

Sophisticated, casual clothing with beautiful textures.  The jeans are fantastic. Skinny jeans with a hipster flair this is one pair you might not want to take off.  They come in 6 colors.  I was so impressed I bought both fatpacks of these!

There is something about good quality clothing; mesh in particular.  Quality mesh moves and wears differently than lesser goods.  For me, this is one of those areas where you really do seem to get what you paid for.  The bag in this pic is from Fishy Strawberry, a past TDR purchase, I’ve been looking to use it in a post for a while, and this seemed perfect!

This first release is impressive, I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! Perfect for when I’m feeling relaxed and casual.

One of the things we love about mesh is how it moves with the AV and visually *feels* like clothing.  And while I wouldn’t normally chose such a pose for the blog, I think this illustrates the clothing’s ability to move very well.  NsB has really gone to the park with their A-Game.  As a lover of quality clothing, I will certainly be waiting for their next release.  (And they didn’t even pay me to say it!)
